Welcome to the new look website for About U Photography & my introduction to blogging!

I am so pleased to announce the new look website. It has been a while in the planning I can tell you & not being a techie wizard I had been putting it off for a long while now, but following the studio move to Rainham, Kent the timing seemed to be right for a fresh start.

The blog will become the new home of my sneaky peaks Facebook, is just not working anymore, plus I can have control on how the image should look.

Our story began after having an unsuccessful shoot with my son at a local studio in Maidstone back in 2007! I noticed that the photographer had no rapport with my son & the end result was far from impressive, the seed was planted! I spent the following months researching digital equipment, which was relatively new on the scene & after selling my 1973 Triumph Spitfire to fund my first camera a Nikon D200 & mid range zoom lens, I started to work on building a strong portfolio & work on converting my home studio space ready for clients. This was right at the beginning of the recession, was I mad? The original launch was at the end of 2008.

The old website where the story began

Luckily for me the key to the businesses growth has always been word of mouth recommendation which proves that I am providing my clients with a quality service. But over the past five years since launching the original website, the digital age has changed drastically. I was not only finding that the website was looking a little tired but I needed a better vehicle to showcase my work & push it to other social media outlets, which can be so time consuming. I now feel that I have a web shop window to match my new boutique photography studio that I can once again feel proud of.

Clients can also benefit from the integrated password protected galleries if they are unable to attend the viewing/order session. I am also considering trialling personal galleries for all clients showcasing all purchased images so they can share with friends & family, giving them the choice to purchase prints of their own!

Thanks for your support, now the next chapter begins.
